Why I Created KENZU

Hi, I’m Sneha K—a proud mother of twins and the founder of KENZU.

When I became a mother, I wanted to give my children the very best start in life.

Like many parents, I found myself constantly asking…

What should I teach? Which activities truly support development? Which toys are meaningful? Am I doing enough?

As the mother of twins, I assumed they would grow and learn in similar ways. But they surprised me.

Although they shared the same home, the same parents, and the same opportunities, they were wonderfully different. Their personalities, interests, strengths, and pace of development were unique. What fascinated one didn’t always interest the other. What came naturally to one sometimes took longer for the other.

That was the moment I truly understood something every child eventually teaches us:

No two children learn in the same way—and that’s the beauty of childhood.

Wanting to understand how I could support each of them in the best way possible, I began learning everything I could about early childhood development. I spent countless evenings reading, attending workshops, and exploring approaches such as Montessori, sensory play, developmental milestones, open-ended learning, and Right Brain Education.

The more I learned, the simpler everything became.

I realised that children don’t need endless toys or complicated learning methods.

They simply need the right experiences at the right stage of development.

So I started bringing these ideas into our everyday life.

We counted fruits during snack time, built towers that came tumbling down, matched colours while tidying up, read stories before bedtime, explored nature during our walks, and celebrated every little milestone along the way.

Those ordinary moments became our greatest teachers.

They reminded me that meaningful learning doesn’t always happen through perfectly planned activities—it often happens in the little moments we share every day.

As my confidence grew, one question kept returning to my mind:

Why should every parent spend hundreds of hours researching child development when there could be a simpler way?

That question became the beginning of KENZU.

KENZU was created to make early learning simple, purposeful, and accessible for every parent. Every kit is thoughtfully curated around developmental milestones, combining meaningful play with age-appropriate learning, so parents can spend less time researching and more time creating joyful memories with their children.

Every activity is something I would happily do with my own children.

Every toy has a purpose.

Every kit is created with the same care, thought, and love I wanted for my own family.

As a mother, I’ve walked this journey myself. I know the excitement of watching a child discover something new, the uncertainty of wondering if you’re doing enough, and the happiness that comes from celebrating even the smallest milestones.

My hope is that KENZU gives parents the confidence to enjoy the journey, and gives every child the opportunity to learn, play, and grow through meaningful moments that last a lifetime.
